What is the Zomato business model?
Zomato works on the standard Aggregator e-listing model.
In other words- it runs on hot air & societal degeneracy. Its results are
commensurate to its inputs- and thus we find that Zomato has consistently failed
to make any profits whatsoever and is doomed to collapse amidst the tears of tens
of thousands of Restuaranteers & Employees while its Managers make bank.
How does Zomato earn money?
It doesn't.
It simply can't. No aggregator firm possibly can earn money. All things happen as
per their nature, as Marcus Aurelius has told us.
What is the nature of Amazon? To be a logistics firm masquerading as an ecommerce platform.
What is the nature of Uber? To be a glorified scrap metal dealer.
What is the nature of AirBnb? To be a glorified insurance hustler.
Zomato performs as its inherent nature leads it to - that of a low-grade goonda
threatening restaurants to 1) feed his “pals”, 2) pay up protection money, and 3)
furnish “Chanda" during special occasions.
Those of us who've been educated in the English language refer to these three avenues as 1) Sales income, 2) Advertising income, 3) Membership programs. In all cases, the earnings essentially are raised from the restaurants' profit margins- since Zomato needs to keep on giving discounts to ensure its clientele stays with it, its operating & logistical expenses are so high that its sales would hardly cover it, and because the industry itself is so hollow that only the most absurd form of parasitism will keep it alive. But such is what passes for Entrepreneurial Brilliance in this Brave New World with all its pisspots & hovels. The French would've called it a proper théâtre de l'absurde, had they still possessed their old Napoleonic fire.
