Why is the Parsi population declining in India?
Because all communities that have high levels of female literacy invariably end up with collapsing TFRs and declining demographic profiles, which inevitably lead to their being swept away by a fresh cohort of more “patriarchical”, more “intolerant”, more “provincial” newcomers who have as much love for educated women as the Prince Boar had for the flamingo.
From Alaska to Azerbaijan, & Sweden to South Korea, barren wombs and empty kindergartens are becoming the norm- a norm that, as the texts of the Ancients demonstrate, was not unknown to the Sages of the Past.
Certain cohorts allege this phenomenon to be, for some inexplicable reason, endemic to the “White” race- even though there have been at least three separate instances in the past 2500-odd years where these self-same “White”- or rather, Germanic- peoples took advantage of such a predicament befalling their rivals.
But that's a story for another day.
Nonetheless, it's undeniable that throughout all of recorded human history, there has been not one case of any Civilization escaping this phenomenon, though certain ideologies appear to breed a certain resistance to- or at least, a tendency to mitigate the worst of - the aforementioned state of affairs. Do note that for all the wisdom of the Ancients, none of them appears to have been able to suggest a feasible solution to this matter.
What can Parsis thus do in order to prevent their - according to authorities as highly placed as the Government of the Republic of India?
History tells us- Nothing.
Here we may quote the example of certain worthies of a certain past Civilization who, though of keen scholarship and cognizant of the approaching doom, spend the dusk of their nations in the abandon of wine and the joy of music, in the comfort of the knowledge that life went on even after the fall of Hector and Achilles, for bronze-greaved Greek and blood-stained Trojan alike.
